About the Dubai Chapter


Under the leadership of Mr. Kamal Hassan and an experienced team in Dubai, Keiretsu Forum will operate in the Middle East in three locations:  UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.  The first location will be in Dubai and the 3 location chapter will be known as Keiretsu Forum Dubai.  This will be the 48th global chapter of the Keiretsu Forum and the first in the Middle East. 

At this time the UAE government is moving from a trade-based, oil-reliant economy to a service/tourism-oriented economy.  Large scale construction elevated UAE into one of the fastest-growing cities in the world.

Growth in Dubai is projected to accelerate even as oil prices remain low and trade remains slow because of diversification and new market openings including Islamic finance and renewable energy.

Known for being a business hub for the entire MENA region, Dubai is the home for many global companies Middle East HQs and a destination city for Middle East businesses and a world class attraction for business leaders.


Kuwait shares borders with Iraq and Saudi ArabiaExpatriates make up 70% of the population. Kuwait is a constitutional emirate with a semi-democratic political system. It has a high income economy backed by the world's sixth largest oil reserves.

The Kuwaiti dinar is the highest valued currency in the world. According to the World Bank, the country has the fourth highest per capita income in the world.


Saudi Arabia is an Arab sovereign state in Western Asia constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula.  Geographically it is  the fifth-largest state in Asia and second-largest state in the Arab world after Algeria. Saudi Arabia is bordered by Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, QatarBahrain, and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast, and Yemen to the south. It is the only nation with both a Red Sea coast and a Persian Gulf coast, and most of its terrain consists of arid desert or barren landforms.

The state has a total population of 28.7 million;  20 million are Saudi nationals and 8 million are foreigners.

Saudi Arabia is the world's largest oil producer and exporter, controlling the world's second largest oil reserves, and the sixth largest gas reserves

The kingdom is categorized as a World Bank high-income economy and is the only Arab country to be part of the G-20 major economies. In addition to the GCC, it is an active member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and OPEC.
